Quilt Books by Kyra E. Hicks
Cuesta Benberry, Quilters Hall of Fame inductee and noted quilt historian, encouraged Kyra to document and research African American quilt history. She was also instrumental in her first paid writing assignment, creating the profile for British painter and mixed media artist Sonia Boyce, for the St. James Guide to Black Artists.
